Yippa Try-On for Shopify
Terms of Service
Effective date: July 20, 2026
Provider: Yippa, Bangalore, India ("Yippa", "we", "us")
Contact: team@yippa.io
1. Agreement and scope
These Terms govern a merchant's installation or use of Yippa's Shopify app, website, and related virtual try-on services (the "Service"). By installing or using the Service, the merchant agrees to these Terms and the Data Processing Addendum below.
2. The Service
Yippa provides tools that let a merchant offer AI-assisted virtual try-on on its Shopify storefront. Results are generated images for visualisation only; they are not measurements, fit advice, or a guarantee of product appearance, availability, quality, or suitability.
3. Merchant responsibilities
The merchant must: (a) have the rights needed for product images and other content supplied to the Service; (b) provide notices and obtain consents required by applicable law; (c) maintain an accurate storefront privacy policy; (d) not use the Service for unlawful, deceptive, discriminatory, or harmful purposes; and (e) ensure its authorised users comply with these Terms.
4. Plans, billing and credits
Plans, included try-ons, pricing, renewal, and cancellation terms are displayed in the Shopify billing flow or the Service. Charges are handled through Shopify where applicable. Fees are stated before a merchant accepts a charge. Except where required by applicable law, payments are non-refundable, including for partially used billing periods, credits, or included try-ons.
We may change plans or fees prospectively by giving notice through the Service or as required by the applicable billing platform.
5. Merchant content and output
The merchant retains its rights in merchant-provided content. The merchant grants Yippa a limited, non-exclusive right to process that content solely to provide, secure, and support the Service. Subject to payment and these Terms, the merchant may use try-on outputs for its internal and storefront purposes.
AI output can contain inaccuracies. The merchant is responsible for how it uses, displays, and reviews output, including any required consumer notices.
6. Restrictions
The merchant must not reverse engineer, probe, or interfere with the Service; circumvent plan limits or security controls; use the Service to create unlawful or infringing material; upload content without the necessary rights; or use the Service to make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects about individuals.
7. Privacy and data protection
The parties' data-protection obligations are in the Data Processing Addendum. Yippa's Privacy Policy explains how Yippa handles merchant data and shopper or widget data. It does not replace the merchant's own shopper-facing privacy notice: the merchant remains responsible for that notice, its link to Yippa's policy where appropriate, and its legal basis for processing.
8. Confidentiality and security
Each party must protect the other party's confidential information using reasonable care and may use it only to perform under these Terms or as required by law. Yippa will maintain appropriate technical and organisational security measures as further described in the Data Processing Addendum.
9. Suspension and termination
Yippa may suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect the Service, comply with law, address security risk, or stop material breach. Either party may terminate as permitted by the applicable plan or law. On termination, Yippa will process and delete personal data as described in the Data Processing Addendum, subject to legally required retention.
10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
Except where prohibited by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available." Yippa does not warrant uninterrupted operation or that generated results are accurate, complete, fit-accurate, or error-free.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, goodwill, data, or business opportunity. Yippa's total liability for all claims arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the fees the merchant paid to Yippa for the Service in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
11. General
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts of Bangalore, Karnataka have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms, except where mandatory law provides otherwise. Notices to Yippa must be sent to team@yippa.io.
We may update these Terms from time to time; the updated version will state its effective date and applies from that date. If a change materially reduces a merchant's rights, we will give reasonable advance notice where practicable. If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. These Terms and the Data Processing Addendum are the entire agreement between Yippa and the merchant concerning the Service.
Data Processing Addendum
A1. Roles and processing details
For shopper personal data processed through the Service, the merchant is the controller or business and Yippa is the processor or service provider. Yippa processes that data only on the merchant's documented instructions, including these Terms and the merchant's use of the Service.
| Subject matter | AI-assisted virtual try-on and related support and security operations |
|---|---|
| Duration | For the term, plus the deletion or return period required by law or these Terms |
| Nature and purpose | Receive a shopper photo and product reference, generate a try-on result, provide optional email-gate functionality, and secure and support the Service |
| Data subjects | Store shoppers, prospective shoppers, and merchant-authorised users |
| Data categories | Shopper photo; generated result; optional email; technical and event data; merchant product and store data |
A2. Processor obligations
Yippa will: process personal data only on documented instructions; ensure authorised personnel are bound by confidentiality; implement appropriate technical and organisational measures; assist the merchant with data-subject requests and security obligations where required; notify the merchant of a personal-data breach as required by law; and delete or return personal data at the end of the Service unless law requires retention.
A3. Subprocessors and transfers
Yippa may use authorised cloud, infrastructure, AI, and support subprocessors to provide the Service. Where required by applicable law or a binding agreement, Yippa will provide the merchant with relevant subprocessor information and the applicable change-notice process on request. Yippa does not disclose proprietary model selections, routing logic, or prompts.
Where personal data is transferred internationally, Yippa will use the transfer mechanism required by applicable law, such as approved contractual clauses.
A4. Deletion and assistance
Input photos are deleted after generation. Generated try-on results are retained for up to seven days, then deleted, subject to the live retention policy and legal obligations. Yippa will assist with Shopify-mandated data requests and redaction requests as described in its Privacy Policy and support process.
A5. Audit information
On reasonable written request and subject to confidentiality and security controls, Yippa will provide information reasonably necessary to demonstrate compliance with this Addendum. If that information is not sufficient to meet an applicable legal obligation, the parties will work in good faith on a proportionate audit process that does not unreasonably disrupt the Service or expose another customer's confidential information.
